Father God, On my way home tonight, I was listening to some music to help me get started on my hour of prayer. I always like to sing in my praise to you. Here are some of the words that stayed with me as I sang and thought about You: amazing, awesome, alive, everywhere, light, loving, protective, never failing, wise, a savior. One of the specific things I've noticed lately about you relates to Emily. Just this past week, she came to a decision about something that has been hard to figure out. the amazing thing is not that she decided, to me. The amazing thing is that she is listening to your voice an wisdom in her life. She said on her blog that she was really just running away and reealized that Your way was much better than what she could imagine would happen. Emily is still on my Fave 5 list. Not because she is a "future Christ follower", but because it helps me to remember to pray for her. I know that we all need someone to cry out to you on our behalf. I am so proud of her and the way that she is following you. We all mess up from time to time. I thik I am exeriencing just a fraction of the way that you feel when one of your children comes home. I smile when I think of how stubborn Emily held up those walls any time that we talked at first. But you knew God. You knew that you were speaking to her, even when I didn't You spoke to her spirit in those conversations. You are AWESOME!
Speaking of others on my Fave 5 list... I pray for Steve. He is on my list because I know that Casey wants him to understand how much she is learning and growing by being a part of a community of believers. I pray that the walls of Steve's heart start crumbling. You are so much better at knowing how to get to a person's heart than me. Just this past fall, LOTS of people were praying for Steve and Casey. And LOOK at what happened as a result of those prayers! Casey and the kids are coming to church and learning about You. Casey is really getting involved by helping with Love Wins and wants to have a small group with me and Donnie. I pray for Steve to have an awakening. I pray for the healing of his soul with regard to his family, parents, etc. I know that he has his reasons for not wanting to participate in religion. Help him see that this is not about giving money or following a bunch of rules. Jesus - get ahold of his heart. Like you did in the fall with their marriage. I give you credit for all of the great things that have happened! Another Fave 5er is Amy B. She has ben gone for a long time from our community. Donnie and I went and visited her a while ago with Travis and I really want to lift her up. I pray that you don't let negativity triumph ovre her life. My hope for Amy is in you. You sparked her spirit the last couple of years. Surround her with your love. Rescue her. Help to heal her broken spirit. Mike, Megan and the kids are in Maryland and it is hard for me to know exactly how to ray for them, except that I know that you're everywhere. Megan tells Casey that she is jealous that they come to church every week. I know that Mike and Megan really liked our church at Christmas. Help them to see that they can learn and worship in maryland as well as here. I know that the kids are sensitive. I pray that you will use them as a means of helping Mike and Megan open up to making learning about You a priority. Molly and Marjorie have been coming consistently to church. we need an interpreter for them . Lay on someone's heart to do that. Help us to continue being open to helping others worship. I pray for their finances. Help me to know what to do to teach them how to manage their money better to be a better steward of their resources. Awaken my dad and marla to your grace. Help them to see their need for you. They keep doing all they can to fill emptiness with each other and things. Help me to show them that fulfillment comes only from you. I thank you for Jennifer and Kamilla . Praise Jesus that Jennifer is getting help. She needs to come to her own realization that she is hurting herself. I pray that she also sees her need for you.
I pray for our pastors at Trinity Family. Donnie and Andy work so hard. I pray for your wisdom to be known to them. That your discipline helps them to lead others. Give them hearts for their people. Help them to be refreshed by the time they spend with you on their own. Keep inspiring them with your vision. Trinity Family is your church.
This Easter Sunday, we will be priveleged if we have visitors with us. Make our time of worship filled with your Spirit. Start now to speak to every person who will be in the cafeteria at madison Elementary. Keep distractions away. Fill the seats. Make your presence known to all! I pray that lots of people come and see that kids matter to the people at Trinity Family. Help all of us to have the attitude of Jesus about little children. We want to have fun and connect with lots of people tonight. I loved the way that so many people wanted to spread the word about this event. Lots of help is awesome! The body of Christ is a fine tuned machine this week at Trinity Family. Thank you God! Help us to think of you and your sacrifices all weekend. Thank you for dying for each of us. I will never truly understand all that you did. You are amazing and I will continue to think about your gift and its meaning. Love, Erin
Heavenly Father, You are so amazing! You are everything I could ever want and everything I'll ever need. You are compassionate, just, merciful, faithful and worthy not only of all the praise that I can give you but so much more!
God I thank you for laying on my heart my "Fave Five," plus. I pray for my Dad, my Mom and Stepmother. I pray that you would continue to use me God to convey your love to them. Help my Dad overcome the distraction that his cynicism towards organized religion. It blinds him from seeing that the most important thing is a relationship with you FIRST. THEN fellowship in a community of believers. Please help my mom and stepmom come to the same realization as well, Lord. I trust in you to do a work in their hearts and lives. Thank you! I pray for Kevin. Lord, I pray that you would continue to do a work in his heart. I pray that he would respond to the invitation that I extended to he and his wife to join us at TF for a service sometime, whether it be on Easter Sunday or some other day. Lord, as you know Kevin expressed to me that they used to attend church and I could see in his eyes that it is something that they may want to get back to doing. I know from experience that sometimes the hardest part of coming to you/back to you is taking that first step. I pray that you would help them take that first step towards a renewed relationship with you! I also pray for Chris. In the conversations that I've had with him about you, I know that he has had some experience with a relationship with you. I pray that you would help turn around his agnostic views and help him to see You as he I believe he once did. I pray for Sarah. Open her eyes God so that she may see Jesus and come to the realization that there is more; that this isn't all there is. Lord, I pray for Cooper. He feels pretty defeated right now Lord, with all that he's gone through lately. I pray that you would help me to be a positive influence in his life. Lord, you know his heart better than anyone. Help him to see you as well. Soften his heart. Heal him from his hurt, defeatedness, hopelessness and bitterness. He's a good guy, with a good heart. I cry out to You for him right now God! Lord, I also pray for all my other non-Christian friends here in KS and back in MA. Continue to work in them as well. Meet them were they're at. Help them to see you like I see you. Use me Lord in any way you need, to accomplish your will for their lives. I am open and willing! Thank you!
Lord, I pray for the Love Wins Ministry. I thank you for the volunteers in that ministry; for their passion to see the lost to come to be found in you. I pray for wisdom for them as they convey Your message and love to the women they are ministering to. I thank you God for a church that supports a ministry like this.
I pray for the pastors (Donnie and Andy) of this church. Lord, I pray that you give them wisdom. Please continue to annoint their leadership, and vision. I thank you for them and for their tireless dedication and work to ensure that with your help this ministry known as Trinity Family Church will continue to serve this community for You.
I lift up the small group leaders to you Lord. I thank you for their gifts of hospitality and for their vision to see us as the TF family grow stonger in you together in our groups. I pray for your wisdom and annointing in their ministry as well. Thank you.
I pray for the Easter Service. I pray that your Sprit moves in an amazing way. I pray the maximum amount of invitees attend and are touched by your Spirit, one way or another! I pray for your annoninting on the preaching, worship and prayer time, as well as in the children's/nursery ministries. I thank you in advance for what you are going to do and am believing for big things. I trust YOU Lord!
Lord, again I thank you for hearing my prayer tonight. I thank you in advance for the answers to those prayers, whenever they may come.
Finally, I thank you for Jesus. And Jesus, I thank you for taking the form of a human being and walking amongst us during your lifetime. I thank you for taking the ridicule, shame, beatings, and for paying the ultimate sacrafice on the Cross at Calvary. I will forever be blown away by and will never be able to fully comprehend how/why God would take the form of man and experience all that you did so that I, the one who deserves it, doesn't have to go through it. You paid the price. It is finished. For that I am eternally grateful and will forever serve and worship You! Let us (me) never, ever lose focus on what You did for us(me). Thank you! YOU ARE RISEN!!!
Please pray for Amy if you are reading this. She came to me about resentment she is holding. I want her to know that she doesn't have to be afraid of trying. Please pray for her to receive wisdom from God. Please pray for me as I talk with her. Thanks!
